Admission Policy of St. Mochulla’s N.S. Tulla -2008
St. Mochulla’s N.S. is a co-educational, rural primary school with a catholic ethos under the patronage of Bishop Fintan Monahan, Bishop of Killaloe.
Our School provides an education founded on an appreciation of childhood and family. It fosters an environment that values the physical, emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual growth of children. This requires the creation of a school community where the human differences present in our school and in our society are acknowledged, respected, esteemed and viewed as essential, and where ideas and behaviours that oppress others are challenged and addressed through an educational process. These differences include but are not limited to: race, gender, ethnicity, cultural, social, lifestyle, economic and religious, as well as the variety of physical, intellectual, and spiritual qualities that make unique individuals of us all.
Catchment Area.
The school catchment area is recognised as the parish of Tulla and such areas, designated for school transport reasons, as being nearer to the closed schools of Knockjames, Drumcharley, Fortane and Maghera than any other school. The Board of Management acknowledges the constitutional right of parents/guardians with regard to the right of choice of school.
